Question: Guitar hero 5...vocals question (for xbox 360)?

Ok...so i'm new to GH, but in the very short time i've had it, i've become addicted! We have the guitar, but to my understanding, we can use the regular xbox remote with a mic, as a microphone. I have not dared to sing yet, since i'm REALLY bad @ holding a note. I'm so bad @ singing, my cat even runs away LOL Well...tonight hubby will be out for a few hours, and i will like to try doing a microphone Challenge. I don't want to break my xbox...LOL. Do you HAVE to have a decent voice to sing, or do you just have to hit the notes as they come...like with the guitar? Any tips or advice are very appreciated! Thanks :) I should have just asked u directly! LOL. I still am not totaly Xbox savey, so i gotta wait for Wes to get home to add u to his list. Im contiplating on getting my own live account!!! This should be fun, i'm on my second beer LOL...Feury better go into hiding now Ha...i'll check out the video, thanks

Trust me, I can't sing a note, and I sing pretty well on easy and some songs on medium. Its not looking for words, just tone. Use either scrolling or static unless you REALLY know the song, then try karaoke mode. Scrolling and static will give you a line to hit and give you an idea of the pitch you actually have to sing. Karaoke is easier if you don't know the words, but you have to have an idea of how the song goes. You can use the regular controller and either a wireless or wired headset, but the wired headset you have to have the mic practically in your mouth to register. Wireless isn't as bad, but I would splurge and get a mic if you really want to do it up right. It takes some getting used to, but its really fun and even better when you are with friends.
