Question: What is this guitar hero port?

I've noticed there are these sloped ports that seem to have 3 prongs on my GH controllers. On the guitar it is at the bottom, below the whammy bar, and on the drums, it is to the right of the battery pack. What is it for?

Sounds like the headphone jack. if there's a little hole that looks like a mini stereo headphone jack then that's what it is
